Welcome to Afro Cultural Hub

The Center For Afro Culture fistly is intended therefore to establish Afro Culture as an important and indispensable ingredient of the World's culture. This will permit every Afro minded person not only to recognize and respect themselves more, but will help them to better recognize and respect the existence of other cultures.

CENTER FOR AFRO CULTURES

The word "Afro" though sometimes related to a hairstyle typical of Black People, generally refers to anything that is related with Africa.
The meaning of the word seems to have evolved over time and now includes not only black people but any one with an ounce of "Black Blood" running through his or her veins.
It has in more recent times permitted itself to include any activity that has touches or qualities that are deemed to have originated from Africans irrespective of the race of the person involved in the creation of the activity in question. Afrocentric ideas are therefore not the prerogative of Africans or blacks.
This means that the activities of the Center For Afro Culture are certainly not only defined by the skin colour of the people involved, but by the qualities and characteristics of the activities in question.

Discover the power of culturally rich narratives and engage with diverse content that resonates with your unique story.

Our Activities

Range of activities include:

Propagating Afro-Culture through Literature and related publications.

This involves encouraging and supporting literary works such as novels, biographies, heritage books, short stories or folklore, plays, poetry and other forms of literature that have an Afro undertone.

This involves publishing and organizing book launches and fairs and assisting in the distribution of such publications.

It also involves encouraging publications that depict the multicultural nature of human society. Such publications should generally push forth the message that Transcultural activities can be feasible without disrespecting any of the cultures involved.

Organizing Cultural Events and showcasing the Afro approach to life with the intention of placing the spotlight on the advantages of a community which  is controlled by the UBUNTU way of life. "I am because you are."

In a world which is increasingly becoming "lonely" despite the increasing global population, a touch of the Ubuntu quality which is essentially Afro, will certainly make the world "warmer."

Cultural Events which should be done regularly following a well defined schedule should assemble Cultural Stakeholders in domains which include:

- Music and Dance

- Arts and Craft

- Storytelling Sessions

- Dressing

- Presentations on different aspects of Afro culture and history.

- Cuisine

Note!!

Throughout every event, the idea of the feasibility of creating a stable transcultural society must be highlighted.
